09:10 CET - In the final match of the day, defending champion Alexei Popyrin has stunned the struggling Daniil Medvedev in Toronto, with the Russian falling early again following a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 loss to the Aussie.

04:50 CET - It was a tale of two sets for Elena Rybakina, who progressed at the expense of Jaqueline Cristian. The ninth-seeded Kazakh wins 6-0, 7-6 (5).

04:25 CET - Dayana Yastremska is through to the fourth round in Montreal as she stuns Emma Navarro 7-5, 6-4.

04:00 CET - Although he was made to work, top seed Alexander Zverev is moving on in Toronto. The German gets past Matteo Arnaldi 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to make the next round.

03:45 CET - Victoria Mboko pulls off a remarkable comeback, toppling Marie Bouzkova 1-6, 6-3, 6-0. That sees the Canadian move on to the fourth round of the National Bank Open.

02:25 CET - Jessica Bouzas Maneiro ends the run of Aoi Ito by beating the Japanese 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

02:20 CET - Holger Rune gets the job done in Toronto as he defeats Alexandre Muller 6-2, 6-4

01:00 CET - Learner Tien's impressive 2025 continues as he defeats fellow American Riley Opelka 7-6 (3), 6-3 to move on in Toronto.

00:02 CET - Top seed Coco Gauff has survived a wobble to beat Veronika Kudermetova 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in Montreal and advance to the fourth round.

Leading 3-1 in the second set, Kudermetova had Gauff on the ropes, but the world number two proved her class in turning it around.

23:13 CET - Eighth seed Casper Ruud has overcome Nuno Borges 7-5, 6-4 to set up a fourth-round meeting with Karen Khachanov in Toronto.

21:53 CET - We have had another massive upset, this time in Montreal, with McCartney Kessler downing fourth seed Mirra Andreeva 7-6, 6-4 to move into the fourth round!

American Kessler will next take on Marta Kostyuk, who also won earlier today.

21:35 CET - Francisco Cerundolo is through to the round of 16 in Toronto as well, after beating fellow Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 6-4.

21:10 CET - Men's third seed Lorenzo Musetti has been dumped out of Toronto by rising star Alex Michelsen. The young American stormed back to win their third-round duel 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Over in Montreal, Marta Kostyuk has edged out Daria Kasatkina 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 to book her spot in the final 16.

18:45 CET - Over to Montreal, where the first match of the evening has finished too, and Lin Zhu has caused a massive shock! The world number 493 (yes, you read that right) has knocked out world number 64 Suzan Lamens in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

That is a double break of serve in both sets. Dutch disaster.

19:35 CET - The first match of the day has finished in Toronto, and despite a setback in the first set tiebreak, 11th seed Karen Khachanov showed his quality in the second and deciding set to defeat Emilio Nava 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 6-1.

17:10 CET - Play has started for the day in Toronto, with the tennis to come in Montreal in an hour or so.

13:10 CET - It is another busy schedule today as Toronto and Montreal continue to heat up in this first week of the respective tournaments.

The first big name in action in Toronto comes from third seed Lorenzo Musetti, who takes on American youngster Alex Michelsen from 18:30 CET on the centre court.

Other stars in action later on in the evening in Toronto are Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune.
