The second-round action continues at Roland Garros today, with Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff all looking to progress through the tournament.

23:40 CET - That brings an end to what has been one of the most dramatic days of the season so far, with Sinner's exit sending shockwaves through the sport and sparking many players' hopes of winning this French Open.

None more so than Novak Djokovic, but he'll first have to beat young talent Joao Fonseca in one of many tantalising matches to take place tomorrow.

We'll be back with a new tracker to cover them all, so see you then!

23:36 CET - Things have been more predictable on the women's side of the draw today, and that continued in the final match, with ninth seed Victoria Mboko coming from behind to claim a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Katerina Siniakova.

23:24 CET - Unlike Berrettini, Tsitsipas won't have the chance to take advantage of an open draw and turn around his flailing career, with the 2021 runner-up losing 7-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to Matteo Arnaldi.

The former world number three's fall from grace continues, with him now in serious danger of dropping out of the top 80.

23:01 CET - 2021 quarter-finalist Matteo Berrettini has claimed his best win in a long time, with the former Wimbledon runner-up beating 22nd seed Arthur Rinderknech - the host nation's highest-ranked man at the tournament - 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time since 2023.

The Italian has endured a torrid time of things in the last year or so, with countless fitness issues seeing him drop outside of the world's top 100, but he now has a real chance to get back on track.

Next up for him is Comesana.

22:04 CET - The top players just keep on falling in the top half of the men's draw! Fifth seed Ben Shelton has now lost 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 to world number 62 Raphael Collignon.

It marks the continuation of what has been a disappointing year for the American, who has been knocked out before the third round of each major tournament he's contested since making the Australian Open quarter-finals.

21:47 CET - Sinner's side of the draw has just opened up even more, with 14th seed and Rome semi-finalist Luciano Darderi losing a five-set battle 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to world number 102 Francisco Comesana.

20:08 CET - World number one Aryna Sabalenka was forced to work hard for her victory against France's Elsa Jacquemot, with the Belarusian surviving a tricky opening set to ultimately prevail 7-5, 6-2.

The four-time Grand Slam champion, still targeting an elusive French Open crown, will face Daria Kasatkina in the third round on Saturday.

19:57 CET - Given Jannik Sinner's shock exit earlier this afternoon, fourth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime is one of several players in contention to capitalise on a wide-open men's draw.

The Canadian has sealed his progression to the third round this evening, recovering from a set down to see off Argentina's Roman Andres Burruchaga, 4-6, 6-0, 7-5, 6-1.

19:36 CET - Defending women's champion and fourth seed Coco Gauff is safely through to the third round after the American dispatched Mayar Sherif in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

Gauff, whose form has been a little hit-and-miss throughout 2026, looked in total control on Suzanne-Lenglen, firing down 23 winners while breaking her opponent's serve seven times.

Joining Gauff in the last 32 is compatriot Madison Keys, with the 19th seed battling past Antonia Ruzic in two competitive sets, 6-4, 6-4.

17:49 CET - 19th seed Frances Tiafoe has won an absolutely gruelling battle with former Wimbledon semi-finalist Hubert Hurkacz, prevailing 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 in four hours and 47 minutes.

Both players served excellently, with Hurkacz winning 82% of points on his first serve, Tiafoe winning 83% on his, and just six break points being converted across the five sets. The American was able to put away two more than the Pole, and that made all the difference in the end, winning him the two sets that didn't go to tiebreaks.

Tiafoe launched into wild celebrations after winning, not least because he'll be well aware that his path all the way to the final is wide open following Sinner's exit.

17:02 CET - Women's sixth seed Amanda Anisimova is through to the third round in Paris after her opponent, Julia Grabher, retired from their match at 6-0 down after the first set.

It looks like Grabher was another one suffering from the extreme heat at Roland Garros, with Anisimova also in ruthless form to make matters worse for the Austrian.

16:41 CET - It's been a truly memorable day for the Cerundolo family, with Francisco following brother Juan Manuel into the third round after a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-1 triumph over home hope Hugo Gaston.

16:25 CET - Elsewhere in Paris, Diana Shnaider has advanced to the third round after battling through a tight opening set to defeat McCartney Kessler 7-6(3), 6-1.

Shnaider, who has progressed beyond the second round for the first time in her career at Roland Garros, will face Oleksandra Oliynykova for a place in the last 16.

Meanwhile, on the men's side of the draw, 17-year-old Frenchman Moise Kouame has come through a five-hour thriller, holding off a spirited fightback from Adolfo Daniel Vallejo to prevail 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 2-6, 7-6(8).

16:08 CET - Sinner's defeat brings an end to his remarkable 30-match winning run on Tour, and blows open the rest of the men's draw, with two-time former champion Carlos Alcaraz also absent.

Can Novak Djokovic capitalise and claim a 25th Grand Slam title? Can two-time former finalist Casper Ruud secure a maiden major? Or will Alexander Zverev finally break his duck on the big stage?

15:47 CET - Red-hot favourite Jannik Sinner is out of the French Open after a shock five-set defeat to world number 56 Juan Manuel Cerundolo!

Having led 6-3, 6-2, 5-1 and cruising to a comfortable win, Sinner's body dramatically gave up on him in the searing Parisian heat, as Cerundolo won six straight games to snatch the third set.

The Argentine showed no signs of easing off against his ailing opponent, and was dominant in sets four and five, prevailing 3-6, 2-6, 7-5, 6-1, 6-1 to secure a maiden top-10 victory and the biggest scalp of his career.

As for Sinner, his hopes of completing a Career Grand Slam will have to wait after a damaging defeat.

13:23 CET - Naomi Osaka has progressed to the third round at Roland Garros for the fourth time in her career after a hard-fought 7-6(1), 6-4 triumph over Donna Vekic.

Elsewhere, Ukraine's Oleksandra Oliynykova is also through after a topsy-turvy 6-3, 0-6, 7-6(5) victory against Kimberly Birrell of Australia.

12:39 CET - Rising star Iva Jovic has produced a stunning performance to reach the third round, with the 17th-seeded American dismantling compatriot Emma Navarro 6-0, 6-3 in just 79 minutes.

Jovic, who struck 18 winners and converted 76% of points behind her first serve against the recent Strasbourg champion, will face either Naomi Osaka or Donna Vekic for a place in the last 16.
