Rebecca Munk Mortensen and Johanne Svendsen had no chance against USA's top 100 players in the Billie Jean King Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Denmark's women's tennis national team, who were handicapped by the absence Clara Tauson and Caroline Wozniacki, were also soundly beaten by the USA in the Billie Jean King Cup.

On Friday, the team lost to Slovakia 0-3, and on Saturday, the USA secured the overall win over Denmark by winning the two singles.

Bernarda Pera produced a Billie Jean King Cup debut to remember in Bratislava on Saturday, easing past Johanne Svendsen to give the USA an unassailable 2-0 lead in the tie.

The outcome of Group C will now go down to USA's clash with host nation Slovakia on Sunday, with the victor going on to September's Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Shenzhen.

Pera is part of an inexperience USA team this week. However, she betrayed few signs of nerves against world No. 698 Svendsen, underlining their gap in the rankings to run out a 6-3 6-1 winner in little over an hour.

Earlier, Hailey Baptiste, also making her first Billie Jean King Cup appearance, delivered an equally dominant display to brush aside Rebecca Munk Mortensen in the opening singles.
