Goalkeeper

Yehvann Diouf (Reims) 10

Reims eased their relegation fears in Ligue 1 with a crucial 2-0 victory at Lens, and although Keito Nakamura was the match-winner with both goals, it was the performance of Diouf between the sticks that will live long in the memory, earning him a perfect 10 rating.

The Senegalese shot-stopper withstood a barrage from the hosts, making as many as 14 saves to preserve his clean sheet. Remarkably, Lens had 37 shots across the contest and accumulated an xG of 3.20, while Diouf's 14 stops were the most in a single Ligue 1 game since 2006/07.

Defence

Lukas Kubler (Freiburg) 8.5

Kubler might have only played 60 minutes in Freiburg's 2-1 comeback win at Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, however, the experienced defender produced a typically assured display.

Not only was the German a solid presence at the back, winning three aerial duels, but he also set up his side's equaliser with a superb lofted delivery for Patrick Osterhage's header.

Robin Koch (Frankfurt) 8.6

Frankfurt’s campaign continues to go from strength to strength, with Dino Toppmoller‘s men consolidating third place in the Bundesliga after a resounding 3-0 triumph over Heidenheim.

German centre-back Koch played a starring role in his side’s victory, making several key tackles as well as doubling their lead shortly before half-time with a clinical low finish in the box.

Maxim De Cuyper (Club Brugge) 9

De Cuyper has enjoyed a brilliant couple of seasons at Club Brugge, chipping in with his fair share of goals and assists from defence.

The Belgian international rose to the occasion once again on Sunday, converting a 92nd-minute penalty against title rivals Genk to secure a hugely important 1-0 win.

Midfield

Emre Akbaba (Eyupspor) 10

Eyupspor boosted their hopes of European qualification after a 6-0 hammering of Adana Demirspor on Monday evening in the Turkish Super Lig.

Akbaba was the standout performer on the right-hand side, netting two well-taken goals and registering an assist for Mame Thiam’s opener - enough to bag a richly deserved 10 rating.

Oihan Sancet (Athletic Club) 9

Introduced as a half-time substitute with Athletic Club trailing Rayo Vallecano, Sancet turned the game on its head, inspiring the Champions League-chasing Lions to an important 3-1 win.

The attacking midfielder restored parity with a coolly taken spot-kick, and then put the seal on Athletic’s victory deep into stoppage time, curling home brilliantly from the edge of the box.

Scott McTominay (Napoli) 9.3

McTominay has been a revelation in his debut campaign at Napoli, with Antonio Conte’s high-flying side looking to hunt down Inter at the Serie A summit.

The Scot scored twice in Napoli’s comfortable home triumph against Empoli, taking his tally for the season up to nine across all competitions.

Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig) 8.9

RB Leipzig moved into the Bundesliga top four after a thrilling 3-2 win at Wolfsburg, as Simons proved his worth to the Red Bulls with a pair of excellent goals from range.

The Dutch playmaker has now reached double figures for Leipzig in back-to-back seasons, with several of Europe’s top sides sure to be interested in his services this summer.

Rayan Ait Nouri (Wolves) 8.8

Ait Nouri has been one of Wolves’ shining lights this season in a disappointing Premier League campaign, and the Algerian was influential once again over the weekend.

The attacking wing-back broke the deadlock early on against Tottenham before setting up his side’s third midway through the second half to help Vitor Pereira’s men to a convincing 4-2 victory - all but confirming their top-flight status for another season.

Attack

Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr) 9

Al Nassr came from behind to secure a hard-fought three points against Al Riyadh, with Ronaldo netting a second-half brace to take his tally up to 933 career goals.

The Portuguese forward levelled the scores with a close-range finish from Sadio Mane's cross, but it was his second - a stunning volley from the edge of the box - that proved to be the defining moment of the match.

Brian White (Vancouver Whitecaps) 9.9

White enjoyed a perfect Saturday evening for the Vancouver Whitecaps, finding the net four times in a resounding 5-1 win over Austin FC.

The American international bagged his first hat-trick of the season inside the opening hour before adding a clinical fourth late on to move level with Tai Baribo at the top of the MLS scoring charts.
