England, France, Portugal, Spain, and hosts Poland have announced their preliminary squads for the upcoming Under-20 FIFA Women's World Cup in Poland, despite UEFA's boycott of FIFA tournaments.

UEFA announced it would boycott all FIFA tournaments after FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced plans to sell part of the FIFA World Cup through FIFA Forward Enterprise, a $20 billion subsidiary that would sell 20 per cent of the tournament to private investors.

The 55 UEFA members unanimously voted to boycott FIFA tournaments as long as the sell-off plans were on the table, and UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said they would keep up the boycott after FIFA and Infantino withdrew the plans, saying conditions had not been met.

"First, the proposals to sell off the major competitions had to be withdrawn, and secondly, assurances have to be made that such attempts to disfigure the game in this way will never be made again. These conditions have not been met," Ceferin said in a statement.

The first test of UEFA's boycott is the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Poland, which takes place between September 5th and 27th.

Despite the boycott, England, France, Portugal, Spain, and hosts Poland all announced their squads, with England the latest on Friday. None of the FAs mentioned the boycott in their press releases. Italy are the only European nation that has not announced its squad.

England play on the tournament's opening day, facing Canada on Saturday, September 5th.
