According to a new agreement, the Danish men's and women's national teams will in future receive equal financial bonuses in the Nations League.

The Danish Football Union (DBU) and the Players' Association have entered into a new national team agreement which comes into effect immediately and is valid until 2029, according to a joint press release from DBU and the Players' Association.

Several of the women's national team's financial bonuses increase significantly in the new national team agreement, and will on different parametres mirror the earnings which appear in the men's national team's agreement with DBU.

"We are happy that we are taking a good step forward with a new and improved agreement. We have had a good and constructive dialogue, which I look forward to continuing on the points of improvement that we must continuously look at over the coming years", says national team captain Pernille Harder, who has participated in the negotiations.

As an example women's national team players will in the future receive 27.249 Danish kroner (approx. 3.600 EURO) for winning a home game in the Nations League. This is 22.540 Danish kroner (approx. 2,900 EURO) more than before and corresponds to the men's bonus for a win in the same tournament.

However, the men are still ahead in several other areas. For example, the men are rewarded 47.000,- Danish kroner (approx. 6.300 EURO) for an away win in the qualification for European Championships and World Championships. Here the women are paid 35.583 Danish kroner (approx. 3.000 EURO)

It is, nevertheless, an increase of 30.874 Danish kroner (approx. 4.150 EURO) compared to the women's previous national team agreement.

It appears from the press release that it remains a contant goal to ensure that the players on the men's and women's national teams receive the same amount of money for their sporting achievements.
