FC Midtjylland on Friday sold Czech international striker Jan Kuchta back to Sparta Prague, where he was purchased last summer for around three million EUROs.
Kuchta failed to live up to expectations in FC Midtjylland where he scored just two goals in 16 matches last autumn before moving back to his old club on loan in January to regain his form.
"Kuchta is a strong profile, as his career testifies to. He has always scored goals and provided assists in the Czech Republic."
"That is why we were very pleased when we bought him in this summer, but at the same time, we must also admit that he has not met expectations", said FC Midtjyllands's football director, Peter Sand, to the club website in connection with the loan in January.
Sparta Prague will allegedly pay around 3,8 million EUROs to bring back Kuchta which means that the former Danish champions, who failed to defend their title last weekend, will make a small profit on the transfer.
