Brondby have signed a four-year deal with the Japanese striker Kotaro Uchino.

While Brondby waved goodbye to Yuito Suzuki earlier in the summer, another Japanese striker will arrive to replace him.

On Monday morning, Brondby presented striker Kotaro Uchino, who will join the club after a stay at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.

The 21-year-old Japanese was on trial at the Danish club in the spring, and the club's management was so impressed by him that he has now been offered a contract until 2029.

"Kotaro is one of the biggest Japanese talents and a very exciting young striker", says sporting director Benjamin Schmedes to Brondby's website.

"We had the opportunity to watch him during his trial earlier this year, and he left a very positive impression."

"He possesses some unique individual qualities as a striker, a strong will to develop, and he has his head screwed on right. We see great potential in him, which we together hope to be able to unleash in the coming years", says Schmedes.

Kotaro Uchino will not join the squad until early July.
