Nadia Nadim has strongly criticised her former coach at AC Milan after the 37-year-old Danish international has left the Italian club on loan to play for Hammarby in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

In an interview with Aftonbladet, Nadim talks about a difficult time in Milan where she didn't see eye with Dutch coach Suzanne Bakker.

"I have had coaches who have won titles throughout my career, so it was a shock for me to be introduced to her. I can honestly say that the training in the refugee camp was better (When she was 11, Nadim, her mother and her four sisters fled Afghanistan and arrived in Denmark as refugees) , so I think she has a kind of inferiority complex," Nadim told the Swedish media.

Furthermore, the controversial striker says that the new coach does not like her and that they are very different. Nadim has also directly told her now former coach that she is not satisfied.

"We had a couple of meetings, and I told her that I did not understand her behavior. I want to solve things, so I told her how I felt."

"But if she knows she's making the same mistakes over and over again, and we have different expectations, then it's going to be difficult. She probably hasn't been used to working with real elite athletes. Just academy players who submit to her. We have bigger ambitions", concludes Nadim.

Nadim also said in the interview that she is contemplating when to pull down the curtain on her career with the Danish national team.

"I have done a lot for the national team. One of my big goals is that I want to finish in the best possible way. I have been thinking about quitting Denmark for a while now, but I am trying to figure out when is the right time."

"I would like to quit, but it has to be in a nice way, and the European Championship would be perfect", she tells the Swedish media.

Denmark has already qualified for the tournament, which will be played in Switzerland during the summer. Nadia Nadim has so far been capped 105 times.
