Elsewhere, on the opening night, reigning AFC Champions League winners Al Ahli host newly-promoted Neom SC and Al Ettifaq take on Al Kholood, while Al Ittihad begin their title defence away to Al Okhdood on Saturday, August 30th.
Other standout fixtures include Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr up against Al Taawon and 19-time winners Al Hilal facing Al Riyadh.
It promises to be another competitive campaign in the Saudi top flight, with several high-profile players making the move to the Middle East during the summer transfer window.
Darwin Nunez and Theo Hernandez have joined Al Hilal, Kingsley Coman and Joao Felix are new arrivals at Al Nassr, while Mateo Retegui and Enzo Millot have moved to Al Qadsiah and Al Ahli, respectively.
