Tottenham remain committed to head coach Thomas Frank, despite concerns setting in about the results and entertainment value he is currently delivering.

Fans have been voicing concerns, with boos ringing around the stadium at full-time of their 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea at the weekend and noise growing online too - as disgruntled supporters show fear about their direction.

Video footage on Saturday even showed Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven appearing to avoid their manager at the end of the game.

The 0.05xG figure from the Chelsea game has sparked specific worries about their threat in the attacking third. But boss Frank is fully aware of the problem and sources insist there is already work underway to fix the issue.

Tottenham have money to spend in the January transfer window and signing a new left sided attacker is one of the priorities. They may even sign a new centre forward if the right options crop up and they have space in the squad.

There are doubts about Richarlison’s long-term future and suitability, while it is still felt that Son Heung-Min’s quality and experience has not been sufficiently replaced.

Mohammed Kudus has been playing well but Xavi Simons has come under particular focus for the levels of his displays.

In the fall-out from the defeat to Chelsea, there are murmurs that even some players are concerned about the style of play and the manner of their tactics.

Yet sources close to the club are adamant that Frank’s position is not under threat, after replacing Ange Postecoglou in the hot seat in June.

He signed a contract until 2028 and there is still belief in his vision and principles.

Along with new attacking options, it is likely that Spurs look at signing an extra centre-back and they have also begun drawing up options for another goalkeeper for 2026.

They have an immediate chance to make up for the lacklustre loss to Chelsea with back-to-back home games this week that can begin to change the vibe.

Frank’s men face Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday and then host Manchester United at the weekend.

The boss needs to sharpen up the style of play, while also working on plans behind the scenes to make sure there is a recruitment charge that adds new verve in January.
