With the Premier League title and relegation done and dusted, attention turns to the race for Europe, and there were a host of key individual displays to pick out over the weekend.

Chelsea boosted their hopes of Champions League qualification by earning a 3-1 win against newly crowned champions Liverpool, while Manchester City and Aston Villa strengthened their cases with respective 1-0 wins.

They all capitalised on Newcastle only managing a 1-1 draw away to Brighton, and Nottingham Forest escaping with the same result at Crystal Palace.

Elsewhere, a strong Arsenal side saw their Champions League semi-final preparations go wrong as they squandered a lead to lose 2-1 at home to Bournemouth, while Brentford emerged with a chaotic 4-3 win over Europa League final-chasing Manchester United.

Using Flashscore's player ratings system, it's time to delve into who makes our Premier League Team of the Week.

Goalkeeper

Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa) 7.3

Emiliano Martinez backstopped Aston Villa to an important 1-0 win over Fulham as they continued their march towards securing a Champions League spot next season.

The Argentina international made three saves in the victory at Villa Park en route to recording his sixth clean sheet of the campaign.

Defenders

Mats Wieffer (Brighton) 8.0

Filling in at right-back, Mats Wieffer had a job to do against Newcastle's in-form winger Harvey Barnes as Brighton earned a 1-1 draw on home turf.

Wieffer contributed to the lone Brighton goal, with his pass keeping their move alive as former Newcastle player Yankuba Minteh planted a lovely effort into the corner.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest) 8.5

Champions League-chasing Nottingham Forest could only muster a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, but their rock at the back in Murillo enjoyed a top individual display.

The Brazilian made 14 clearances with Forest under siege and was not dribbled past once, while he also found the scoresheet with an instinctive equaliser to earn Nuno Espirito Santo's team a point.

Michael Kayode (Brentford) 8.5

Twenty-year-old Michael Kayode emerged as quite a handful all game as Brentford edged out Manchester United, earning himself an 8.5 Flashscore player rating, the joint-highest of the week, along with Murillo.

Kayode had a big influence on Brentford and progressed the play well with five completed dribbles and came away with an assist after unselfishly squaring the ball to Yoane Wissa for the Bees' fourth goal.

Midfield

Jordan Ayew (Leicester) 8.0

Jordan Ayew found the net for Leicester as they defeated rock-bottom Southampton 2-0 in a battle of the already-relegated sides.

Despite seeing his initial free-kick blocked by the wall, the rebound fell straight back to him and he drilled a low effort right into the corner to double the Foxes' advantage.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) 8.2

The goal drought is finally over. Cole Palmer looked back to his usual self as he helped guide Chelsea past champions Liverpool with an all-action midfield performance.

The 23-year-old created four chances, won seven duels and made three interceptions before stepping up to convert a late penalty, which broke a lengthy run without finding the net.

John McGinn (Aston Villa) 8.1

John McGinn put in the graft on his 200th Premier League appearance to help Villa towards three important points against Fulham.

The Scotland international's delivery was a perfect one for their eventual game winner as his corner found Youri Tielemans deep in the Fulham penalty area.

Julio Enciso (Ipswich) 8.1

Paraguay's Julio Enciso looked like Ipswich's main threat as the Championship-bound Tractor Boys fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at Everton.

Enciso scored what could be one of the goals of the season when his effort from distance arrowed in off the crossbar to give Ipswich hope when trailing.

Kevin Schade (Brentford) 8.4

Kevin Schade proved to be a thorn in United's side by scoring two of Brentford's four goals in the Gtech Community Stadium victory.

The German's first was a solid header past the goalkeeper to give Brentford the lead, while he repeated the act for his second of the game after Bryan Mbeumo's delivery.

Forwards

Beto (Everton) 7.6

Beto got the scoring underway in the first half for Everton against Ipswich with a well-taken, classic centre-forward style header into the corner.

He led the line well for the Toffees ahead of his withdrawal late in the second half, shortly before Ipswich found the net for their equaliser.

George Hirst (Ipswich) 7.6

Coming off the bench, George Hirst's impact would have been exactly what Kieran McKenna wanted as he rose to nod in Ipswich's equaliser at Everton.

Omari Hutchinson did well down the right to stand up a cross to the back post, where Hirst was stationed to direct in.
