Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is set to leave the club this summer as top sides aim to make bids.

A proposed move to Anfield fell through after the Eagles pulled the plug in the final moments of the window, a move that Liverpool are set to repeat as they try to block out other top clubs.

Guehi's contract is set to expire in the summer, meaning Palace must sell this January or face losing the England international for free at the end of the campaign.

According to Florian Plettenberg, Palace boss Oliver Glasner and his team are asking for between £35 and £40 million for Guehi, who is open to leaving the side if handed the opportunity.

Bayern Munich and Manchester City are also in the race for the Palace star but according to Plettenburg, Guehi is “favouring a free transfer in the summer” which would not help the club’s finances.

Liverpool are reported to be the favourites, however, after the ACL injury to summer signing Giovanni Leoni, failed contract talks with Ibrahima Konate and the ageing Virgil van Dijk leading the side at nearly 35 years old.

Updates are to follow over the next two weeks before the window closes as Guehi awaits bids from top teams who clearly admire the 25-year-old.
