The Premier League finally comes to an end this week, with so much to play for in the European races. There is certainly going to be a lot at stake for Fantasy Premier League players too, which means it is sure to be a hectic final day.

Here are the best players for FPL Gameweek 38 using Fantasy Football Hub’s AI-predicted points. If you’re struggling to settle on which FPL move to make, get your AI-recommended transfers right here

Defender: Ben White vs Southampton (A) - 5.0 points

Arsenal’s final game of the season looks like a superb one to target, with Southampton one of the worst Premier League sides on record. No team has scored fewer goals than the Saints, whose expected goals (xG) tally is also the worst in the league.

This bodes well for Arsenal’s defence, which in contrast, has been the tightest. With Jurrien Timber reportedly set for ankle surgery, this should make White a likely starter on Sunday, and he’s the pick of the defenders according to Hub AI, 0.2 predicted points ahead of teammates Jakub Kiwior

Midfielder: Bukayo Saka vs Southampton (A) - 6.8 points

Although they’ve tightened up at the back in recent weeks, Southampton still have the worst defensive record over the 2024/25 campaign, conceding the most goals (84). They managed to keep Manchester City at bay in Gameweek 36 but the AI doesn’t expect a repeat performance, with Saka the leading predicted points scorer this week.

Hub AI’s projection assumes the England winger gets a start - but with Mikel Arteta’s side guaranteed Champions League football, there’s a chance he rotates on the final day. Keep an eye out for early team news before making your transfer decisions.

Forward: Erling Haaland vs Fulham (A) - 6.0 points

Haaland should be on penalties again after Omar Marmoush’s FA Cup miss and this is factored into Hub AI’s thinking in making him the top predicted points scorer among forwards in Gameweek 38. The City frontman has 21 goals in 30 league appearances, with his 20.98 xG bettered only by Mohamed Salah.

Hidden Gem: Evanilson - 5.3 points

Bournemouth’s fixture against Ipswich (A) is another one to target this weekend, alongside Arsenal’s trip to Southampton. Evanilson is owned by just 4.1% of the game’s managers and could add to his 10 goals and five assists.

He faces the league’s second-worst defence, who have conceded 79 goals. The Brazilian is one of several Cherries’ attackers worth considering, alongside Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert. He is the lowest-owned of them all though, with the joint-highest predicted points score alongside Semenyo.
