Arsenal winger Noni Madueke will be out for several weeks with a knee injury as manager Mikel Arteta suffers another blow.

The 23-year-old was replaced at half-time by Bukayo Saka at the Emirates during the clash with Manchester City, which ended 1-1 thanks to a late Gabriel Martinelli goal.

Arteta pulled off the winger who featured for the first time on Sunday since the 5-0 win against Leeds United and has been impressive so far for the Gunners.

Now, he will be spending the next few months on the sidelines, as confirmed by journalist David Ornstein, in what is a crushing blow for the North London side.

This means he will likely be unavailable until mid-November at the earliest and reports claim that 15-year-old Max Dowman will be handed more of an opportunity by Arteta who has a lot of faith in the teenager.

Madueke joins Saka, Kai Havertz, Marin Odegaard and William Saliba in a vast group of players who have suffered injuries in the opening half of the season.
