The UEFA Conference League did not disappoint on Thursday, as the return legs produced some dramatic action. With one more round out of the way, here is one stat from each of the round of 16 return legs.

29 - Rapid Wien needed extra time to get the better of Borac Banja Luka 2-1 in Austria, and 3-2 on aggregate. The Bosnian side's incredible European season has come to an end, but they can be incredibly proud of their journey. As for Rapid, they are in a European quarter-final for the first time in 29 years. On that occasion, they reached the final of the 1995/96 UEFA Cup Winners Cup, losing 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.

3 - Lugano and Celje played an incredibly dramatic 120 minutes in Switzerland, with both sides scoring stoppage time goals to keep the game going ultimately to penalties. When the dust settled, Celje held their nerve to stun their opponents 3-1 in the shootout. Lugano became the third different team to score five goals in a UECL knockout round tie and still be eliminated. The other two sides - Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Olympiakos last season, and LASK against Slavia Praha in the inaugural season - also occurred at the round of 16.

16 - Paphos' maiden European journey has come to an end as the Cypriot club could not hold onto their 1-0 advantage against Djurgarden. The Swedes ended winning 3-0 at home to move on to the final eight. Across five matches versus Cypriot teams, Djurgarden have now scored 16 times, an average of 3.2 goals per game.

6 - Cercle Brugge failed to overcome their 3-0 deficit from the first leg against Jagiellonia Bialystok. The Belgians did produce a 2-0 victory on the night, which is a positive end to their European campaign. It was their sixth clean sheet in UEFA club competition action, with five of those coming this term. Jagiellonia move on, and maintains the hope of having a Polish represntative in the Conference League final in Wroclaw.

13 - Real Betis have ended Vitoria Guimaraes' unbeaten run in Europe this term as the Spanish club claimed a 4-0 win in Portugal. Keeping a third consecutive clean sheet on the road in the process, Betis have now gone the farther than any other Spanish team have in the UECL. For Vitoria, they suffered their heaviest home defeat in Europe in 13 and a half years, when Atletico Madrid on by the same scoreline in the 2011/12 Europa League playoff round.

5 - Legia Warszawa's impressive home record continued with a 2-0 success against Molde after extra time, winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate. The Poles exacted revenge on the side who knocked them out of the tournament the year prior. Legia have also kept five home clean sheets in Europe this season, qualifiers included. Molde will be without European football next season as they failed to qualify domestically.

21 - Fiorentina are in a third straight Conference Leauge quarter-final after beating Panathinaikos 3-1 on the night and 5-4 overall. La Viola played their 36th game in the UECL proper over a three-year span. Thursday's victory was their 21st in the competition, which is the most of any other club.

8 - Chelsea managed to edge FC Kobenhavn 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, progressing 3-0 across the two legs. The Blues, now in the last eight of the competition, have won all eight of their matches in the UECL proper this term, becoming the second team to do so. It is the fourth time Chelsea have managed to win eight games in a European season (not considering qualifiers). In each of the previous three campaigns in which they did so, they went on to win the trophy.
