A trip to Selhurst Park to face Premier League side Crystal Palace is the standout tie awaiting KuPS in the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League (UECL).

The match in South London will be KuPS' first ever competitive meeting with English opposition, and only their second against a British side, the other a 3-2 aggregate victory against Welsh side Llanelli in the UEFA Europa League (UEL) qualifiers in 2012/13.

The date and kick-off time for the meeting with the FA Cup winners, who were demoted from the UEL before a ball was kicked in this season's European competitions, is to be determined.

That goes for the Veikkausliiga champions' other five matches in the League Phase - KuPS will also face trips to Iceland to take on Breidablik, and to Poland to face Jagiellonia, who reached the latter stages of last season's UECL.

At home, the Kuopio side will welcome Slovan Bratislava from Slovakia, Drita of Kosovo and Swiss side Lausanne-Sport to Vare Areena.

Matchday one will be played on Thursday 2nd October, with the sixth and final matchday is set for Thursday 18th December.

HOME: Slovan Bratislava (SVK), Drita (KOS), Lausanne-Sport (SUI)

AWAY: Crystal Palace (ENG), Jagiellonia (POL), Breidablik (ISL)

Having won the Finnish top flight of 2024, KuPS beat Milsami Orhei of Moldova in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers before being knocked out by eventual qualifiers Kairat.

They then beat RFS of Latvia in the UEL qualifiers to guarantee League Phase football, but a 6-0 aggregate loss to Denmark's Midtjylland in the Playoff Round ensured that would be in the UECL, rather than the UEL.

This will be KuPS' first campaign in a European competition proper since a First Round exit in the 1990/91 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup to Dynamo Kyiv

KuPS may be looking to better the record of four points from six matches that their domestic rivals, HJK, set in the UECL League Phase last season.
