It's time for the second legs of the Champions League playoff round as several of the world's best sides battle it out for a spot in the last 16 of Europe's elite competition.

Wednesday, February 19th

23:43 CET  - That brings an end to the night and with it the playoffs. We will be back soon for some fascinating last 16 action and don't forget to check your notifications for the draw on Friday afternoon!

23:40 CET - Well a bit later than expected but the maiden Champions League playoffs have finished as PSV progress! A thrilling night in Eindhoven sees PSV pull off the unlikely and knock out European giants Juventus after completing the turnaround from Turin in extra-time.

23:31 CET - It is getting loud inside the Philips Stadion as PSV are just three minutes away from the last 16!

Juventus continue to knock only for the hosts to slam the door in their faces. Time is running out for the Old Lady and Thiago Motta too?

23:20 CET - Half-time in extra-time and PSV are 15 minutes away from a sensational comeback win and a place in the last 16.

23:12 CET - The turnaround is complete! PSV have been brilliant tonight, they have kept on attacking and now get their just rewards.

The potential winning goal came from defender Ryan Flamingo who tapped in a rebound off the keeper.

Juventus must respond again or suffer a shock exit.

23:04 CET - We have another 30 minutes in Eindhoven! This should be tense.

22:59 CET - In reality, PSG were already all but through from their dismantling of Brest last week but wow did they punish their visitors tonight and show them who the boss is in France.

The 7-0 win saw seven different goal scorers for the first time in Champions League history but it was also a statement win from a side growing in confidence with every passing week.

22:53 CET - A late Nico Gonzalez goal (his first for City) changes nothing on the night and it is all over in Madrid. Real Madrid will play in the last 16 after outclassing Manchester City over two legs. Mbappe stole the show tonight but the job was done last week in Manchester. Real don't let leads slip at the Bernabeu.

22:50 CET - PSV are pushing for a winning goal here. The home sides are not looking to just take this game to extra-time, they want to win it! Time is running out but seven minutes have just been added on. Could they?

22:43 CET - Oh my... PSG are on a mission tonight as they go 7-0 up on the night and 10-0 on aggregate. This is officially in the embarrassing category now for Brest.

Opta insight: PSG are the first team ever to have seven different goalscorers in a UEFA Champions League match.

The seventh different goal scorer of the night comes from teenager Senny Mayulu who scores his first Champions League goal of the season.

22:37 CET - Super sub Goncalo Ramos gets in on the act for a PSG side who have exploded into life over these two legs! It is now 9-0 on aggregate. Those poor Brest fans who travelled to the game.

22:34 CET - PSV are ahead again and might have just forced extra-time! Ivan Perisic turns provider this time, providing a dangerous cross which evades everyone until it reaches Ismael Saibari who nods it home from close range. Incredible scenes.

22:32 CET - The star of the night is without a doubt Kylian Mbappe with a perfect hat-trick - check out his goal sequence below:

22:27 CET - PSG now lead their French counterparts 7-0 on aggregate as we move into humiliation territory in Paris.

Make that 8-0! PSG have been brilliant once again tonight and are starting to look a real threat in this competition.

22:24 CET - Juventus equalise on the night and retake the lead on aggregate! A free-kick was lofted towards the back post from Juve and whilst the set piece was headed away, the ball fell perfectly on the edge of the box for Timothy Weah to volley in with pinpoint precision.

22:20 CET - Vintage Kylian Mbappe completes a sensational hat-trick from a player who is silencing some haters tonight. The Frenchman received the ball on the edge of the box, did his trademark step-over before curling an effort into the bottom left-hand corner. Unstoppable. Inevitable. Mbappe.

22:17 CET - PSV came straight back at Juventus after the goal and Noa Lang curls an effort just wide! The hosts are well on top now.

22:12 CET - And with that hope comes a PSV goal! It is a turning point in this tie and a massive moment for the home side.

Ivan Perisic has scored some big goals in his long career but this one is right up there! The Croatian was found in space inside the box and he controls the ball perfectly before slamming an effort home into the bottom corner. Game on!

22:10 CET - Kolo Muani has missed a golden chance to put the tie to bed but the striker doesn't take it - hope remains for PSV.

22:01 CET - Ready for the second half? PSV vs Juventus will be our key focus in the second period unless something incredible happens elsewhere. Strap in as we are about to get back underway!

21:48 CET - That’s half-time around the grounds. Kylian Mbappe has fired Real Madrid into a 2-0 lead over Manchester City, meaning they lead their tie 5-2.

PSG also lead Brest 2-0 at the break, meaning they hold an imposing 5-0 advantage in that playoff.

Over in Eindhoven, it’s still goalless between PSV and Juventus with the Old Lady holding a 2-1 lead on aggregate.

21:39 CET - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has scored to double PSG’s lead over Brest on the night, extending their lead in the tie to 5-0.

21:33 CET - Kylian Mbappe has scored again to give Real a 2-0 lead over City! The visiting defence looked all at sea before Rodrygo laid it on a plate for the Frenchman's second of the night.

5-2 now, surely that's tie over already!

21:30 CET - Our third late game is between PSV and Juventus in Eindhoven. The hosts are trailing 2-1 on aggregate from the first leg but it is still goalless tonight.

21:20 CET - Moving over to Paris, Bradley Barcola has scored to give PSG a very commanding 4-0 lead over French rivals Brest in their playoff tie. You'd have to expect that the fairytale ends tonight for Brest.

21:04 CET - And just like that, Real Madrid are ahead on the night! Kylian Mbappe has put Los Blanco into a 1-0 lead over Manchester City with a lovely lifted finish over Ederson.

That means the hosts now lead the tie 4-2. Disaster start for Pep Guardiola's side.

21:01 CET - We are underway in Madrid, Paris and Eindhoven - follow all the matches live via the above link!

20:35 CET - The first match of the night is done and as expected Borussia Dortmund are safely through to the last 16 after a dull second leg against Sporting CP finished goalless.

The German giants did the job in Lisbon and now await their last 16 opponents in Friday's draw.

20:20 CET - And finally, PSV host Juventus as they look to find a way back into the tie after losing 1-0 in Turin. The big team news is that Olivier Boscagli is back from injury for this hosts and starts at the back.

As for Juve, new signing and instant impact Kolo Muani starts up front for the visitors.

20:10 CET - Elsewhere, PSG have gone strong after resting some key players at the weekend as they look to get over the line against Brest. The Parisians won the first leg 3-0 after man of the moment Ousmane Dembele scored a brace.

20:05 CET - Meanwhile the lineups are in for the late matches, including the blockbuster tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City. Real hold a slim advantage and will fancy their chances at the Santiago Bernabeu but you can never rule out Pep Guardiola in this competition.

The big team news from tonight is that Pep Guardiola has decided to bench star striker Erling Haaland, preferring to start new signing Omar Marmoush up top instead! Bold call but will it pay off?

20:03 CET - Dortmund's Champions League man Serhou Guirassy has missed a penalty and a chance to wrap up the tie! Half chance for Sporting?

19:32 CET - The half-time whistle blows at a rocking Signal Iduna Park and the hosts are one-half away from securing a last 16 spot which is looking more and more inevitable.

Follow the second half here.

19:30 CET - Sporting Lisbon are still yet to have a shot in this game as half-time approaches - a comeback is not looking likely.

19:15 CET - So close! Marcel Sabitzer has just gone closest to scoring so far as a long-range strike stun the hands of Rui Silva who got down quickly. The home side have now taken full control of this game which is supported by an Opta insight.

Opta insight: 44.0% of the action has been in the Sporting CP third over the last 15 minutes.

19:10 CET - 25 minutes in and so far Sporting are knocking the ball around nicely but are failing to find the final killer pass. Dortmund are seeing more of the ball however and the hosts will be feeling comfortable with how things are going.

18:45 CET - Play is underway in Dortmund! Will it go as planned for the hosts who have a healthy lead or can Sporting produce a shock comeback? We are about to find out!

Opta insight: Geovany Quenda (17y 295d) is making his 10th appearance in the UEFA Champions League, the fourth-youngest player to reach that tally after Lamine Yamal (16y 278d), Youri Tielemans (17y 216d) and Jude Bellingham (17y 289d).

17:45 CET - The lineups are in for the clash between Borussia Dortmund and Sporting, with the big news being that Viktor Gyokeres misses out through injury for the visitors.

Kick-off is in an hour.

17:15 CET - Hello and welcome to Flashscore's coverage of tonight's Champions League action!

European nights don't get much bigger than this, with Manchester City travelling to Spain for a clash with Real Madrid, knowing they need a win after losing a dramatic first leg 3-2.

That's one of two ties on a knife edge with Juventus leading PSV 2-1 ahead of their battle in Eindhoven, but PSG and Borussia Dortmund both have a spot in the round of 16 in sight thanks to their 3-0 leads over Brest and Sporting respectively.

Tuesday, February 18th

23:12 CET - That is it from the Champions League tonight as no games went to extra time - we are gutted about that here at Flashscore... Come back tomorrow at the same time and place for hopefully a lot more drama!

23:07 CET - Finally for tonight, Atalanta couldn't produce enough of a response in the second period as the damage was already done in a disastrous first-half. A huge scalp for Club Brugge who now have a last 16 tie to look forward to.

Remember the draw for that is on Friday.

23:02 CET - It turned out not to be a penalty to Benfica after VAR ruled it out but that meant little in the end as it is all over and they are through! It was a classic night in Lisbon that produced so many twists and turns but in the end Benfica head through.

Check out the match summary here.

22:54 CET - Before we return to Lisbon in just a second, Bayern have scored a vital goal and Kasper Schmeichel won't want to watch this back. It is heartbreak for Celtic who came so close to forcing extra-time but a parried effort from Schmeichel falls straight to Alphonso Davies to bundle it home.

It is not pretty and you could argue not deserved but that was the last action of the night and Bayern Munich are through!

22:52 CET - Benfica recieve another penalty! Score this to win.

22:48 CET - A six-goal thriller in Lisbon! Benfica are level on the night and ahead on aggregate once again and this one might be the goal of the night - it certainly is the most important with time running out.

A lovely whipped cross is volleyed in from midfielder Orkun Kokcu who gets a toe to the ball to loop it over the keeper! Monaco need to go again and I wouldn't back against it.

22:43 CET - Monaco are level again in what is turning into a classic! George Ilenikhena slots an effort past Anatoliy Trubin who should have done better for the second time but let the ball go underneath him and in.

22:37 CET - Penalty to Benfica! And goal to Benfica as in-form striker Vangelis Pavlidis sends the keeper the wrong way. Massive celebrations in Lisbon and what a game this has been.

Opta insight: Pavlidis's goal is his seventh goal in the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League, the most by any Benfica player in a single edition of the competition, overtaking Joao Mario in 2023 (6 goals).

22:35 CET - It is fair to say that Atalanta need a miracle to stay in their contest with Opta giving them just a 3% chance of progression despite them having the far superior XG! They just have not taken their chances tonight and that has cost them a place in the last 16.

22:30 CET - Forget about Harry Kane, Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn is the man of the moment! Incredible scenes in Munich as Celtic take a shock lead on the night and draw level in the tie!

It is poor defending from Bayern as Dayot Upamecano fails to make enough contact with his sliding interception and the ball trickles through to Kuhn who slides an effort inside the box past Manuel Neuer to silence a stunned home support.

22:26 CET - Meanwhile, Celtic still hold hope in Munich and know a goal will change everything. One man who has on the whole been kept quiet is Harry Kane and that is key to the game remaining scoreless.

22:22 CET - A big moment in Bergamo! Ademola Lookman stepped up for a penalty to make the tie interesting but no other than Simon Mignolet denied him from the spot with a big hand. A reminder that Atalanta still need three goals to get back into this one.

22:13 CET - Big goal for Monaco! The visitors lead on the night and are level in the tie with Benfica who have let this slip in front of their supporters.

It is a classic Monaco move as a slick passing move is finished off with a curling strike into the bottom corner from Eliesse Ben Seghir. Extra-time could be looming in Lisbon...

22:07 CET - They are also back underway in Bergamo and finally a sign of life from Atalanta and who else but Ademola Lookman to provide them with a way back into the contest! The Nigerian striker has been out injured lately and Atalanta have missed his goals but he came on at half-time and amongst the goals already after a composed finish inside the box.

22:06 CET - Play is back underway at the Allianz Arena!

21:55 CET - It remains all still to play for in Lisbon as despite Benfica still holding a one-goal advantage over the two legs, Monaco have shown resolve to come from behind already and a certain Dane striker who has been scoring hat-tricks for fun lurks on their bench.

Half-time stats

21:52 CET - There was a goal late in the first half in Bergamo however as Club Brugge go three up and surely out of sight?

Opta insight: Club Brugge have scored 3 goals in a UCL game for the first time since 13th September 2022 against Porto (W4-0).

21:47 CET - Harry Kane would go closest for Bayern just before the break as he struck the bar but it remains 0-0 at the break in Munich!

21:42 CET - Back to Munich and for all their possession, Celtic carry a threat on the counter and currently have 0.45 XG compared to Bayern's 0.47, so no side is in control of this one.

21:34 CET - Hope for Benfica as Takumi Minamino finds space inside the box before releasing a powerful low-driven strike which squeezed in at the near post. 1-1 and game on.

Opta insight: Minamino has scored his third goal of the 2024 UEFA Champions League this edition, more than any other Monaco player.

21:30 CET - What is going on in Bergamo? Atalanta looked like one of the top sides in this season's Champions League not so long ago and now find themselves on the brink of exit. Club Brugge have doubled their lead and it is teenager Chemsdine Talbi who completes a sensational first-half brace!

21:24 CET - Monaco are in big trouble now as Benfica double their lead in the tie and on the night. A swift move is tapped in by Kerem Akturkoglu after a perfectly weighted low-driven cross from Vangelis Pavlidis and it was brilliant skill from the striker in the build-up.

Opta insight: Akturkoglu's goal is his fourth goal in the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League, netting for the first time since 23rd October 2024 against Feyenoord.

21:20 CET - 20 minutes in and it remains goalless in Munich which will please Celtic fans - they are still in this contest. How they go about scoring? Well, Bayern are vulnerable at the back so it might not be as difficult as it sounds.

21:17 CET - Opta insight: Atalanta have a record of W0, D1, L2 when conceding the opening goal in the 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League.

21:03 CET - Well that didn't take long! Club Brugge have netted in the third minute with Chemsdine Talbi extending their advantage on aggregate to 3-1 against Atalanta.

20:40 CET - Feyenoord beat AC Milan 2-1 in the round of 16 to progress!

The second-half goal from Julian Carranza has seen the Dutch side draw 1-1 on the night, and win the tie overall.

Theo Hernandez will have some questions after the game - his red card in the second half for diving turned the tide on the night.

20:35 CET - Into stoppage time at the San Siro, AC Milan need a goal and they need it quick...

20:33 CET - Our final of the trio of the late games is Benfica's tie with Monaco.

Substitute Vangelis Pavlidis got the winner for the Portuguese side in the principality last week, and he starts tonight for Benfica.

Monaco have only scored once in their last four UEFA Champions League matches (Wilfried Singo against Aston Villa), despite attempting 29 shots in that time (3% shot conversion rate). Prior to their last four, the French side had netted 12 goals in five Champions League games this term (16% shot conversion rate).

They will need to fire tonight if they are to get back into the side.

20:15 CET - Over to Italy, where Atalanta are looking to produce a comeback in their round of 16 tie against Club Brugge, who won the first leg 2-1.

Club Brugge may have won the first leg, but they have been eliminated on 16 occasions in major European competitions when they’ve won the first leg of a knockout tie, more than any other side in history.

Since the start of last season, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane has scored more UEFA Champions League goals than any other player (15 in 20 games). Kane is the first Bayern player to hit 15 Champions League goals in 20 or fewer games, breaking Roy Makaay’s record (21 games).

19:36 CET - The half-time whistle has blown in Milan with the tie locked at one goal apiece after a dominant first-half display from Sergio Conceicao's side.
