It is a strong Danish national team squad, which will gather in May ahead of two matches against Germany.
National coach Nikolaj Jacobsen has selected 18 players, and although there has been room for Steven Plucnar, Frederik Bjerre, and Victor Norlyk, who all made their debuts at the latest national team gathering, the rest of the players count as familiar faces in the squad.
"It is a squad with a more cohesive core. We had a few more experiments in March, so now I will spend time on those who have been with us for a long time and many of those who helped win the European Championship", says the national coach.
At the European Championship, Denmark won the final against Germany, and Denmark also faced Germany in the Olympic final in Paris. And that is why Nikolaj Jacobsen also expects tough opposition in the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on May 15 and two days later in Cologne.
"Germany is one of the best teams in the world, and it is a young team that is on the rise. They have won medals at the European Championships and the Olympics and are among the favorites for the upcoming World Championships on home soil, so it will be some exciting matches", says Nikolaj Jacobsen.
