The Detroit Lions released veteran offensive tackle Taylor Decker on Friday ahead of the free agency period that begins on March 11th.

Decker, 32, spent all 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Lions after they drafted him with the 16th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. But his release comes after contract talks between both sides broke down.

The vet has played in and started 14 games for back-to-back seasons. In 2025, he gave up 33 quarterback pressures (62nd out of 89), three QB hits (28th), and two sacks (21st) in 551 pass snaps.

Now, he'll be one of the most sought-after tackles on the free agent market, along with his former teammate and offensive guard Graham Glasgow, who was also recently released by the team.
