Elmer Møller will open Denmark's Davis Cup match against Serbia on Friday and will be followed by Holger Rune.

According to Friday's draw, Denmark's second single, Elmer Møller, will face Serbia's first single, Miomir Kecmanovic, at 16.00 CET

The Danish Tennis Association expects around 9,500 spectators for Friday's matches and they can look forward to seeing Holger Rune in action for the evening match Friday against Hamad Medjedovic.

Captain Frederik Løchte has chosen Møller as second single ahead of August Holmgren.

"It will be exciting. I think it is the biggest Davis Cup match Denmark has ever played in Denmark, so it will be a huge, huge experience for all of us", says Holger Rune at Thursday's press conference.

"I have played in many large arenas around the world, but it is a very special feeling to play in front of Danish fans. It's a different feeling to have everyone's back."

Superstar Novak Djokovic was supposed to represent Serbia but withdrew due to an injury he sustained at the Australian Open.

Djokovic's expected participation has contributed to the fact that many tickets have been sold, but Rune hopes that in the long term the Danish team will be able to attract big crowds despite not having having blockbuster names to promote the event.

"It is up to the team and how well we deliver on the tour. I think it bodes well. I do my part, and the others on the team do their part", says Rune.

The Davis Cup match is decided by best of five matches. Friday begins with two singles, while Saturday begins with a double and is followed by up to two singles. All matches are best of three sets.

The winner of the match will face either Spain or Switzerland in a playoff for participation in the Davis Cup Final 8, where the world's top eight nations will participate.
