Nashville Predators defenceman Luke Schenn (35) voiced his frustrations following the team's loss to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, especially on their inability to score goals.

“You don’t really even know what to say anymore,” said Schenn. “I don’t think I’ve ever been part of a group where you literally can’t score goals. Sometimes you’re giving up a lot or the defensive game’s not there, but at least you catch the odd break and get the puck in the net and it’s been hard to come by.”

The Predators have scored just 147 goals this season - second worst in the league just ahead of Anaheim Ducks (146). The team also leads the league in being shut out eight times.

Schenn is a 17-year veteran who has played with eight different teams. He joined the Predators last season who ultimately ended up with a solid 47-30-5 record.

This year? Nashville is 20-30-7 which is the third worst in the NHL.

The Predators have only scored three goals in three games since the league returned from the 4 Nations Face-Off.

They upset the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 but were shut out by the New Jersey Devils 5-0 before Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Panthers

Things look bleak for the Predators and there's no denying that they'll be sellers at this year's trade deadline if any teams are calling.
