Despite a huge win of 47-22 over Algeria, Danish national team coach Nikolaj Jacobsen's wasn't in the best mood after the World Cup opener in Herning.

Jacobsen did not hide that he is worried about Rasmus Lauge, who is struggling with pain in the stomach region and is doubtful for the rest of the tournament

"I can't say too much, but it's not quite good. Now we'll just have to see. I expect to have more info on Wednesday. But it's not very good. Without saying too much, I don't think that Rasmus will play on Thursday (against Tunisia)", said Nikolaj Jacobsen after the match according to dr.dk

The question is whether the often unlucky playmaker faces a longer break on the sideline that could threaten his continued participation in the World Cup.

Lauge otherwise started the match strongly with four goals in quick succession, but was then forced to rest on the bench for the remainder of the match and did not come into action again.

"I don't want to make things worse than they are. Let's give him a nights sleep and see how things look on Wednesday. I don't have the full picture of the injury yet", said Nikolaj Jacobsen.

Magnus Landin also had to be treated by physiotherapist Anja Greve after sustaining a knee problem.

"Suddenly I got a pain in my knee and couldn't quite figure out what it was, so I just wanted her to look at it. Nikolaj then did not allow me back in action afgain even though I would have liked to play. I think it was just a blow to the knee", said Landin.

Denmark will face Tunesia on Thursday evening.
