Three days into the World Championship final round, it has been announced that Denmark's assistant coach Bojana Popovic will take over as head coach of Romanian club CSM București.

"I am very proud that I will be part of the fantastic CSM Bucharest family. It is a club with an excellent organisation, tradition, and ambitions. I look forward to building a strong team together with the players, the technical staff, the management, and our loyal fans", says Popovic, among other things, on the club website.

"Bojana Popović is not only a huge name in handball, but somebody capable of transforming a team. We are proud and grateful that she has chosen to be part of our family. We want to share the joy of this moment with our supporters and thank them for their constant trust and support, says Răzvan-Mihai Socolovici, Team Manager of CSM Bucharest.

Popovic's new job will not affect her role as assistant coach of the Danish national team, where she has signed a contract until the end of next year.
