Danish international Simon Pytlick on Saturday showed that he is well on his way towards recovering his old form after breaking his arm at the beginning of the year, as SG Flensburg-Handewitt kept up the pressure on THW Kiel in the German Handball League.

The team coached by Ales Pajovic won 42-24 (21-11) at winless SC DHfK Leipzig on the seventh matchday and remains unbeaten, although Flensburg have already allowed themselves two draws early in the season.

Flensburg thereby caught up with Kiel on 12 points who have won all of their six games and will host Rhein-Neckar Löwen on Sunday. Flensburg's leading goalscorer in Leipzig was Simon Pytlick (nine goals) at left back.

Champions Füchse Berlin (10-4) are still trying behind after a weak start to the season. However, their 38-35 (18-17) victory at HC Erlangen on Saturday evening marked their sixth successive win.
