After playing the past three seasons in Japan, Griffin joined the Nats this season and became a stud. He has a 3.06 ERA through 22 starts with 116 strikeouts in 129.1 innings, giving up just 109 hits and 30 walks.
In exchange, the Nationals are receiving MLB relief pitcher Will Dion, pitching prospect Josh Hartle (CLE's No. 25), pitching prospect Kendeglys Virguez, and outfielder prospect Nick Mitchel.

Cleveland made one last trade for Nathaniel Lowe in a deal with the Cincinnati Reds, sending over 19-year-old pitching prospect Alejandro Rivera.
Lowe, 31, is a former Silver Slugger and Gold Glover. He's slashing .266/.341/.480 with 12 home runs and 37 RBI this season.
