The Detroit Lions signed wide receiver Jameson Williams to a three-year, $83 million contract extension with $67 million in guaranteed money on Saturday.

Williams is coming off his first 1,000-yard season and a career-high in touchdowns (7).

The 24-year-old is just the latest of the Lions' homegrown talent that they have extended recently. Others include receiver counterpart Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, Kerby Joseph, Alim McNeill, Taylor Decker, and Derrick Barnes.

Williams was selected 12th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft and has since emerged as one of the game's most electrifying young receivers, making the tandem with him and St. Brown one of the best in football after the two posted a combined 2,264 receiving yards and 19 receiving touchdowns.

Detroit kicks off their season on September 7th in Green Bay as they face the Packers.
