The Denver Broncos defeated the Buffalo Bills 33-30 in overtime during Saturday's Divisional Round matchup after both teams led their own late fourth-quarter scoring drives!

Following two crucial pass interference calls against the Bills that combined for 47 yards, Denver kicker Wil Lutz hit the game-winner as the Broncos advanced to their first AFC Championship appearance since the 2015 season when they went on to win the Super Bowl.

They will host the winner of tomorrow's matchup between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans, needing one more win to advance to the Super Bowl.

Broncos defensive back Ja'Quan McMillian picked off Josh Allen in overtime to give the Broncos one more chance after failing on their first one, ultimately leading to a win.

Allen would finish the game with 349 total yards, three passing touchdowns, and four turnovers (two interceptions, two fumbles).

Denver went up 30-27 in the fourth quarter after quarterback Bo Nix connected with Marvin Mims Jr. for a 26-yard touchdown pass.

Mims led all receivers with 93 yards on eight receptions. Nix finished the game with 308 total yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

The Bills drove down the field in those 50 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to set up Matt Prater for a 50-yard field goal.

He would split it right down the middle to tie it all up 30-30 as the game became the first to go into overtime these playoffs.

Full recap + highlights

First half

The first quarter of this game only saw two drives, one from each team.

Denver got on the board first with a 28-yard field goal from Wil Lutz to cap off a 14-play, 64-yard drive that took 7:31 off the clock.

Buffalo would respond with a 67-yard drive on 12 plays that took up 7:24 of time, capping it off with a four-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Mecole Hardman Jr.

On to the second quarter, where Denver would start with a three-and-out following the Bills' touchdown.

However, the Broncos would get the ball back just three plays later after forcing running back James Cook to fumble on Denver's 31-yard line.

It was Cook's seventh fumble this season and the fourth he'd lost.

Denver would take advantage of the opportunity.

They'd go on to cap off a 69-yard drive with a seven-yard touchdown pass to offensive tackle Frank Crum. Yes, a touchdown pass to their offensive lineman.

Buffalo would drive down the field, also for 69 yards, but only came away with a 33-yard field goal from Matt Prater to tie it up 10-10.

Denver wouldn't let up, though, as they drove 70 yards and found paydirt once more in the first half. This time, the six points came from a 29-yard touchdown pass from Nix to Lil'Jordan Humphrey, who finished the game with

It was a redemption moment for Humphrey, who dropped a touchdown pass earlier in the game.

With one last chance before the half to get points on the board for Buffalo, Allen would scramble for a first down, but fumble the ball in their own territory.

Denver would take advantage of the turnover yet again, putting up three points thanks to a Lutz 50-yard field goal right as time expired in the first half.

Second half

Two plays into the second half, Allen fumbled once more. Buffalo would hold strong on their defensive end following the fumble, but the Broncos would still get three points out of it with another Lutz field goal.

The fumble came from Denver's top edge rusher Nik Bonitto, the player our expert Paul called out in his pick for the game.

It would make 13 up of Denver's 23 points by that time in the game.

Buffalo would finally find paydirt for the first time since their touchdown in the first quarter.

After driving 73 yards on nine plays, Allen would find Keon Coleman for a 10-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 23-17.

On the ensuing Broncos drive, Nix would throw his first and only interception of the game.

It was a big-man pick as rookie defensive lineman Deone Walker would come up with it for the first time in his career.

Buffalo took Walker with the 109th overall pick (4th round) in the latest draft.

Unfortunately, his big moment would go to waste very quickly.

Two plays later, Allen would commit his third turnover after throwing an interception to Broncos defensive back P.J. Locke, his first of the entire year.

For the first time all game, the Broncos couldn't find the scoreboard off a turnover, keeping it at 23-17 with 2:38 left in the third.

The Broncos had the ball on Buffalo's 40, which would've been a 57-yard field goal for Lutz, but opted to punt it...and it cost them.

Despite pinning them deep with the punt, Buffalo would drive 85 yards to go up 24-23 to start the fourth quarter.

Allen would connect with tight end Dalton Kincaid on a 14-yard touchdown pass to take the lead.

Buffalo would force Denver to punt after a three-and-out.

After their third seven-minute drive of the game, the Bills would settle for just a 31-yard field goal from Prater, his second make out of two attempts on the night, giving his team the 27-23 lead with 4:11 left in the game.

On the Broncos final drive, their No. 1 receiver Courtland Sutton would catch a crucial 3rd-and-11 first-down pass, which was his first reception of the game, to keep the drive alive.

And it was a clutch catch that proved to be vital to the Broncos' comeback.

Denver would later see Nix connect with Mims for the go-ahead touchdown with 55 seconds left in the game to take a 30-27 lead.

But Buffalo wouldn't be denied.

In the waning seconds of the fourth quarter, Allen would lead the Bills down the field to set up Prater for the 50-yard field goal to tie it 30-30.

Overtime

The Broncos would fail on their first drive, leading to a Bills chance to win the game with at least a field goal.

But after Allen tried to connect with wide receiver Brandin Cooks on a deep ball, McMillian came away with the interception to give the Broncos one more chance. It would be Allen's fourth turnover of the game.

After a crucial pass interference call on the Bills, the Broncos would get within field goal range.

Lutz would hit home the game-winner to end it all.
