In our weekly feature, we take a look back at the main events in the NBA over the last seven days. The Golden State Warriors are gradually improving, the Milwaukee Bucks keep sliding, while Anthony Black produced one of the best dunks ever.

Team of the Week: Golden State Warriors

After a tough few months to start the season for the Golden State Warriors, the seven-time champions have been gradually improving. Their offence had been struggling big time due to a high turnover rate, but 2026 has seen them step their game up.

Three high-scoring victories against the Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks and Charlotte Hornets last week have seen them claim 11 wins in their last 15 games, moving up the Western Conference standings.

If they can continue this form, they may even be looking to avoid the play-in tournament and secure a top-six finish instead.

Underperformers of the Week: Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks fans are not happy. Three straight losses last week to the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs have seen them tumble down the Eastern Conference, even falling out of the play-in tournament places.

Despite having Giannis Antetokounmpo in their ranks, the Bucks cannot find any consistency. With the 20th-best defensive rating in the NBA and 23rd-best offensive rating, pressure continues to ramp up on coach Doc Rivers, whom fans consistently criticise.

Player of the Week: James Harden

It was a very good week for James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers, with 'the Beard' starring to help his side win all three of their games.

Harden had 32 points and 10 assists in their victory over the Hornets, 22 points and eight assists against the Washington Wizards, and 31 points and 10 assists against the Toronto Raptors.

Against the Hornets, he also passed Shaquille O'Neal for ninth on the all-time NBA scoring list, illustrating his legendary status.

Play of the Week: Anthony Black

It isn't an understatement to say that Anthony Black produced one of the best dunks the NBA has ever seen. During the Orlando Magic's triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Berlin Game 2026, Black dunked on FOUR Grizzlies players, producing an incredible image.

The NBA also announced that it became the most-viewed highlight of the season across NBA social platforms, with 85 million views and counting.

Story of the Week: Minnesota Timberwolves

When the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 110-105 to the Houston Rockets last week, they became just the third team in NBA history to score 100+ points in 100 consecutive games. They followed that up with a thrilling 126-123 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs, with Anthony Edwards scoring a career-high 55 points.

With the streak now at 101 games, they will have eyes on the Spurs in second (129 games) and Nuggers at the top (136 games).
