Norby, who was originally put on the 10-day injured list, had the hamate bone in his left wrist repaired.
The 25-year-old has been having a rough go at it this season, slashing .241/.289/.364 with six home runs, 26 RBI, and seven stolen bases in 72 games.
Norby, a former second-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, was part of a trade package with the Baltimore Orioles that sent him and All-Star teammate Kyle Stowers to Miami in exchange for starting pitcher Trevor Rogers.
However, the former O's top prospect, still trying to find his footing in Miami, has no love lost for his former team.
Stowers, on the other hand, was recently selected for his first All-Star Game after putting up incredible numbers in his first full season with the Marlins, hitting 19 home runs and 54 RBI heading into Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
The 27-year-old earned his 20th home run in the first game back from the All-Star break as he continues to prove to be a vital piece in the Marlins' lineup this season.
