Seattle Mariners breakout star catcher Cal Raleigh (28) launched his 22nd home run of the season to tie Shohei Ohtani for the league lead during Saturday's game against the Minnesota Twins.

The two-run blast in the first inning came off of Twins' starting pitcher Bailey Ober to cut the lead to one.

Much like Ohtani, Raleigh has been on a tear of his own and has become arguably the best story in baseball this season.

His home run on Saturday marked his fifth in the past five games, bringing his season slashline up to an impressive .267/.382/.636.

Raleigh not only leads his team in both batting average and slugging percentage, along with his home runs, RBI, walks, and hits, but he also leads every single catcher in the American League in those same stats.

He is also the only catcher in all of baseball as of May 31st, 2025, to have an OPS over .970 with a ridiculous 1.018 - that is fourth best in all of baseball behind Aaron Judge (1.230), Freddie Freeman (1.073), and Ohtani (1.058) as of Friday night.
