On Friday, Major League Baseball had 10 games scheduled that went on to average 35,284 fans - the highest attendance for a Friday in April since 2008.

Friday may have arguably been the best day of baseball so far this season post-Opening Day - with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs with an early candidate for Game of the Year.

24 runs were scored between both of them with 21 of them coming in the 7th and 8th innings alone.

The 16 runs scored in the 8th inning are the most ever scored at Wrigley Field in its 111-year history.

A total of 38 hits were recorded along with six home runs in an unbelievable 13-11 win for the Cubs.

Relive history and watch all 16 runs from the 8th inning below - and this was just one of the games during the historic day!

The excitement didn't end there. Want more runs? Of course you do!

The Cleveland Guardians took down the Pittsburgh Pirates in a 10-7 win with both teams combining for 25 hits!

How about a walk-off?

New York Mets star Francisco Lindor hit a walk-off home run - his first ever as a Met and his 250th career home run - in a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals

Los Angeles Dodgers' Japanese star pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto went toe-to-toe with future Hall of Fame pitcher Jacob DeGrom as he threw his third straight shutout - lowering his ERA on the season to a stellar 0.93 - making an early case for the National League Cy Young Award.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee Brewers rookie Caleb Durbin recorded two hits in his big league debut in the team's 5-3 win over the Athletics

Teammate Freddy Peralta didn't mince words when he said, "I think it was the most excited (debut) that I've been here for."

The Los Angeles Angels defeated the San Francisco Giants 2-0 thanks to starting pitcher Tyler Anderson - who threw his second straight shutout and lowered his season ERA to 2.08.

And so much more.

Even for personal attendance, the Baltimore Orioles' sellout crowd of 42,587 was their largest April crowd (non-Opening Day) since 2015 (shown below) - even though they lost 8-3 (crowd numbers adjusted due to stadium renovations).
