The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix is set to get underway in 10 minutes after the start had been delayed due to heavy downpours, which caused poor visibility for drivers on the formation lap.
A red flag was issued after the safety lap, after race officials decided it was too dangerous to start, resulting in the drivers returning to the paddock.
Further heavy rain is expected to follow with dark clouds overhead, and there is no official word yet on when the race might get underway.
"I can't see a lot behind the safety car so I can't imagine what it's like for everyone else," McLaren's pole-sitter Lando Norris said over the team radio.
When action does get underway soon, championship leader Oscar Piastri starts behind Norris with Charles Leclerc locking out the front three.
