We've reached the semi-final stage at WTA tournaments in Sao Paulo and Guadalajara, while it's another busy day of Davis Cup qualifiers as several of tennis' biggest nations look to secure a spot in the Final 8.

19:47 CET - Indonesia's Janice Tjen has advanced to the final in Sao Paulo after battling through a tight opening set to defeat Francesca Jones 7-6(0), 6-3.

She'll face either Renata Zarazua or Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah in tomorrow's showpiece.

18:29 CET - France have sealed their place in the last eight of the Davis Cup, with Corentin Moutet seeing off Marin Cilic in two competitive sets, 7-5, 6-4.

Elsewhere, Austria have also progressed after Jurij Rodionov thrashed Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 6-1 in just 63 minutes.

18:03 CET - Denmark are on the brink of the next round with Elmer Moller fighting back from a set down to beat Spain's Jaume Munar 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

17:02 CET - Argentina have moved into the last eight of the Davis Cup after securing a straight-sets doubles win over the Netherlands that secured them a 3-0 victory in the tie.

14:52 CET - Holger Rune has put Denmark 1-0 up in their tie with Spain, claiming a 7-5, 6-3 win over Pablo Carreno-Busta.

11:17 CET - Belgium have moved into a 2-0 lead in their tie against Australia after Zizou Bergs battled to an impressive 7-6(4), 6-4 victory over Jordan Thompson.

Meanwhile, Germany secured a fourth successive win over Japan, with teenager Justin Engel proving too strong for Rei Sakamoto, 6-3, 6-7(2), 10-7.

We've got a busy schedule of Davis Cup qualifiers to look forward to today, as well as WTA semi-final action in Sao Paulo and Guadalajara a little later this evening.

One early result to bring you from this morning, and it's a surprise one, with Belgium's Raphael Collignon getting the better of world number eight Alex De Minaur in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
